Gone to bed very late the night before, we all (all being Thierry, DanielD and I) had trouble waking up on due time (due time being sometime around 7 a.m.). We woke up at 8 (actually, Daniel woke us up) and sort of packed quickly and get ourselves ready.
We had a quick breakfast and hurried to the station. The meeting was to start at 8.30 with a breakfast and then the real meeting was at 9. We arrived around 10.30 but not so late as I had feared :)
My group consisted in Janet, Karl, Mimasa, Michael, Norio and Tatsuya. and we started by introducing ourselves clearly. Then the topics were more or less suggested by the rest of the group. which was fine with me as I was quite tired and not really inspired regarding the topics, although listening solely was indeed interesting.
The lunch break was very welcome and much enjoyable. To DanielD's request, Josiane had ordered indonesian food, and that was a really good idea. It made the lunch break more exotic :)
At some point during the day (I can't recall if it was before or after lunch), we all went outside of CWI and reached a lovely park near water. There were geese on the side of the road and Thierry went hunting there, with his coat. He captured a baby goose that was so frightened it screamed and beat its small wings. When Thierry released it and it fled to the water.
The meeting ended around 5. DanielD and Thierry wanted to visit a museum and I accepted Gerald's game of pool. We went in the same pub at the day before. There was Chaals, Karl, Ted, and a few others who watched my defeat :(
I met with Thierry and Daniel around 7.30 at the Groenendael's where we had left our luggage. And there we went to the station. We went into a photo booth and made nice grimaces. I might scan the picture (if I manage to rlog to crash) and add it...
We met Chaals there. He was waiting for friends. And at that time DanielD had bought us tickets and we were already late. Fortunately we ran (read 'walk faster than usual) fast enough to get in the train in time. Our flight took off almost in time and we landed in Nice around midnight.
That was the end of a big nice week in Amsterdam. I have really enjoyed the stay since it favors meeting new team members and getting close to them.
I realize it took me a whole week to lay-out all those pages. I spent a few nights and a week-end on it. And it would have taken me much more time without the great help of Charles via IRC. Now I've learnt how to create and use a style sheet. Charles' next tutorial is to teach me how to create a template.
I like this photo album very much and I hope you like it as well. It's been a pleasure to take pictures of you, and I thank all the models for their participation :)
Here ends my photo album...
