Norway, Ireland, 26 June - 02 July 2006

For the last week of my pretty pretty long vacation, I travelled to Norway (Oslo) and Ireland (Galway, Letterfrack, Dublin), Norway (Oslo) again and back.

In the common room at the Old Monastery Hostel, Wendy settled on the couch, played the guitar and sang.

We found a sheep skull during our walk and started to build a shrine. Since this is already pretty crazy, the shrine was for the goddess of the Underworld.

A myriad of fish in the trees. (Don't you see fish too?...)

Cow and calves. Aren't they cute?

Moo!

Clouds and blue sky, mountains, fields, houses.

Letterfrack

This is Diamond Hill (445 m.) next to Letterfrack, 5 km beyond Kylemore, an enchanting village on Barnaderg Bay, which was founded by the Society of Friends (the Quakers) in the 19th century as one of a series of mission settlements along the north Connemara coast.

We changed coach in Leenane. This morning at breakfast we chatted with a couple of Germans who asked us where we were headed to.

Leenane

Galway airport. A pretty tiny one. They had a books vending machine. The best thing is that they have free wifi :)
